I have to say this is something that I just don't like , I prefer my counter tops to be empty and not cluttered with stuff, those are pretty but not for me.

I am really enjoying this blog, the video was really interesting, but like the above comment I too don't like a lot of stuff one my counter tops I prefer space and having too much stuff makes it look very messy no matter how neat you keep it.

Thank you for all of the comments. Sorry for not responding sooner! I agree, I like counter tops clutter free but I also like having things I use daily within easy reach. While I try to plan my menu there is always something I do not have right where I need it and canisters make those items readily accessible. Even though I thought I had enough counter space when I remodeled my home, it is amazing how fast you realize you never have enough space even with a 7'x 4.5' island. I do not have a set of canisters, rather I have one canister to hold flour and a smaller on at another area for my coffee beans. It doesn't take up much space and it adds just the right touch of decor my counter top needs.
