I'd vote for teak, by a mile. Some of the reasons are in your April 28 entry about teak. It has a very classy look and as you mentioned is easy to maintain. Wicker and aluminum to me don't have the same elegant quality.

I would like to see Aluminum or wrought iron. I like that the frame work lets the fabric take front stage.

Thanks for all the comments!! I like them all and would want teak in my backyard as it is so sturdy and takes very little to care for. Some people like it to weather to a gray but I like to warm wood color with bright cushions. I also like the aluminum furniture available but depending on where it is placed or where you live aluminum could be too lightweight if you have heavy winds. Wrought iron is beautiful and like teak really makes a statement whether you choose to add cushions or show the detail work. For me personally, wrought iron would be something I would use as a focal point or as extra seating as it is very heavy and hard to move around. While I've never been a big wicker lover, only because my mother had it when we were younger and we always picked at it and got in trouble. However, I do like a lot of the newer all weather wicker sets that are available and the easy maintenance, when paired with the right cushions it has a very sophisticated look. A lot of our clients like the versatility of using it both indoors and outdoors.

I too, think wicker furniture looks good and it can be mixed in with various types of furniture and look completely natural. All weather wicker is meant to withstand weather conditions year round and is a reason you will see all weather wicker used in some of the finest resorts around the world. When you implement wicker in with your other outdoor furniture whether you have all wood or aluminum or cast iron it gives a warm feeling to your surroundings.

Boy, it really depends on where the furniture is going to be. Generally, I like simple, functional outdoor furniture. It can be done in a way that really looks great. However, if it is a more modern outdoor setting then I would like something more elaborate.
